Teresa Farmaki, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Astarte Capital Partners, participated in the 2026 Fund Managers Meeting in New York, hosted by IDB Invest and IDB Lab.

Teresa joined Eduardo Silveira Mufarej, Co-Chief Investment Officer at Just Climate, for a panel discussion titled “Natural Capital: The Next Frontier for Private Capital?”, moderated by Virgínia Guazzelli of Patria Investments.

The discussion explored the growing role of natural capital in institutional investment portfolios, highlighting its potential to offer diversification, attractive long-term returns and measurable environmental and social impact.

A key focus was the opportunity presented by Latin America, where favourable growing conditions, land availability, significant water resources and established agricultural and forestry expertise create a compelling environment for natural capital investment.

At Astarte Capital Partners, we see these regional strengths as an important foundation for developing sustainable investment strategies that combine long-term financial value creation with positive outcomes for local communities and the environment.

We extend our thanks to IDB Invest and IDB Lab for organising the event and bringing together industry leaders to exchange perspectives on the future of natural capital investment.
