Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer/Chief Investment Officer at Pearl Group’s Axial Asset Management from 2006 to 2008.
Before joining Pearl Group, he was Chief Investment Officer for capital markets at ABP Investments, one of the largest pension funds in the world. Prior to that, he was Chief Investment Officer at Achmea Asset Management between 1997 and 2001, and integral to the merger with PVF Pensioenen, where he was Chief Investment Officer before the merger. He began his career as director of research and portfolio management at GIM/GIM Capital Management in 1983.

Prior to joining TPG, Philippe was a member of the Management Committee at Investcorp. He joined Investcorp from JP Morgan Capital where he was involved in private equity investments for the firm’s own account across Europe and Latin America. Previously, he worked with Morgan Stanley in London and New York.

Sean serves as non-executive director at a global technology firm, and is an advisor to a number of start-ups and to Eurasia Group.
He is the Co-Founder of ProfeTech, a technology company which builds products for the future of the knowledge economy.
