Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending an exceptional conference organized by our partners, Toesca Asset Management, titled:
“Investing in Natural Capital: The Case for Chilean Farmland.”
It was an inspiring event, bringing together hundreds of investors, operators, and industry leaders from across Chile and beyond. The agenda featured an outstanding lineup of speakers and panelists who shared valuable insights on the evolving role of natural capital in global portfolios.
The day opened with three excellent keynote presentations from our Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Teresa Farmaki, alongside Martin Davies and Alejandro Bezanilla, setting the tone for a day of thoughtful and forward-looking discussion.
A highlight of the event was the panel moderated by Augusto Rodríguez, featuring leading voices from Chile’s fruit sector — Camillo Scocco, Juan Pablo Cerda, and Antonio Walker. The conversation explored key trends in crop production, export markets, and sustainability, providing a grounded view of where the industry is heading.
The discussions throughout the event reinforced a shared conviction: agriculture, when managed with discipline and a regenerative mindset, can play a pivotal role in both institutional portfolios and global sustainability objectives.
Overall, it was a fantastic event and a testament to Toesca’s leadership in advancing the dialogue on natural capital and farmland investment across Chile and Latin America.
