Alternative Investment Forum 2021 - Dr. Stavros Siokos discusses the role of forests towards a net zero economy [Video]

Our co-founder Dr. Stavros Siokos spoke at this year's Alternative Investment Forum about the significant role sustainable forestry can play in achieving a net zero economy, while delivering consistent and attractive returns for investors.

It is estimated that US forests store approximately 14% of annual CO2 emissions from the national economy, and as CO2 emissions continue to grow exponentially, their role in carbon sequestration is more important than ever before. Earlier this year, Astarte partnered with SilviPar to launch SAIFF, a new platform dedicated to sustainable forestry.

Through the transformation of low productivity land into sustainable forestry assets, the fund will significantly contribute to carbon sequestration in South America.
